[Home](/)/ 2. Warranty The Long View # Built to last. _Backed for life_. Cap City Closets warrants every residential project against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns and resides in the home where the product was installed — plus a 2-year labor warranty on any warranty repair. What's Covered ## _The whole_ project. - Structural integrity of panels, shelving, and components — under normal residential use - Hardware functionality — hinges, drawer slides, and hang rods - Workmanship of installation by our in-house crew - 2-year labor warranty on any warranty repair from the original installation date - Backed by US-sourced materials and our family-owned team The Fine Print ## _Plainly stated_. **"Lifetime" means** the period during which the original purchaser owns and resides in the home where the product was installed. This warranty is **non-transferable** and applies only to the original installation location. **What's not covered:** - Normal wear and tear (scratches, dents, fading, discoloration) - Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or overloading - Water damage, flooding, or excessive humidity - Improper cleaning (harsh chemicals or abrasives) - Modifications or alterations made after installation - Damage caused by third-party installers or contractors - Acts of nature (fire, storms, etc.) **Adjustments & settling.** Minor adjustments may be required over time due to normal home settling or usage. These are not considered defects, but we may offer service visits at a standard service rate. **Remedy.** If a covered defect is identified, Cap City Closets will, at its sole discretion, repair the defective component or replace it with a comparable product. Replacement materials may vary slightly in color or finish due to normal product variations or discontinued lines. **Commercial installations** carry a 2-year warranty, depending on usage conditions. **Limitation of liability.** Cap City Closets shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages, loss of use or inconvenience, or damage to surrounding property. Total liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product. **To make a claim,** email [sales@buckeyeinteriordesign.com](mailto:sales@buckeyeinteriordesign.com) with (1) proof of purchase, (2) photos and a description of the issue, and (3) reasonable access for inspection if required.
