# Accessibility at _Cap City Closets_

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

## What we aim for

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That covers things like readable color contrast, text descriptions for images, keyboard access to every menu and button, clear headings, and pages that work at 200% zoom and on small screens.

## What we've done

We audit the site with automated tools and by hand, and we fix what we find. Recent work includes a "Skip to main content" link, stronger color contrast, visible keyboard focus, underlined links in body text, pause controls for moving content, and keyboard-friendly menus and dialogs.

## Known limitations

Our consultation request form is provided by a third-party service and opens in a dialog. It is labeled and works with a keyboard, but some error messages may not be announced automatically by screen readers. If you have any trouble with the form, call or email us and we'll take your details directly.
